Alaska Knitting Cruise 2027 – Here I come!

It’s official!

In September 2027, I’ll be heading to Alaska aboard the Discovery Princess for a very special knitting cruise – Dancing Lights: Alaska 2027.

I’ll be teaching knitting workshops, sharing two specially designed projects, and, of course, there will be plenty of knitting, laughter and time spent enjoying Alaska through a designer’s eyes.

The cruise information is now live, and I’m delighted that I can finally share it!

There is so much more to come. Over the next year I’ll be sharing peeks at the projects, yarn, inspiration and some of the preparations happening behind the scenes.

Alaska, Here I come!

More to come….

Just discovered you! I would love more information on the knitting schedule for the Alaska cruise. I do not do any social media (just email)- what’s the best way for me to get this information asap!?

Thank you for your reply, Lynette! This all sounds FABULOUS. Im assuming there’s an additional fee for Knitting With You– separate from cabin room cost?
My bff and I are trying to decide whether our non-knitting husbands should be invited. Is there a knitting event schedule that we can see, (or approximate) re daily workshops (apart from Walks after breakfast or evening knitting open sessions with you)?
Thank You in advance for your kind patience with me! Lynn

No extra charge for the knitting. It is all covered. There are 3 days at sea so 3, 3 hour classes to learn the techniques.

wow!! That’s a bargain! I’m leaving on a Panama Cruise on Sunday (on Princess) and will likely sign up while on board (with incentives and discounts). I haven’t knitted much lace so I will start practicing right away!! Looking forward to meeting and knitting with you, Lynette!!

The focus won’t be on lace… this time.
The focus will be on working with beads and “dip” stitches.

That sounds even better!! Besides bringing needles listed, do I need to bring anything else for the workshops?

I’ve been a sock knitter for about 2 years, and don’t have all the needles you list. Do you have a favorite brand that you recommend? Thank you!

I like addi’s fixed, especially the rocket squared, lantern moon interchangeables for wooden needles and generally ChiaoGoo needles are always good.

Bring easy knitting for the evening knitting and anything tool that you are really fond of. I love to learn about things that work well.

    Sorry Lynne, my finger jumped!
The knitting cruise is through the Expedia office in Duncan. Not through Princess. If you sign up for the Alaska cruise while on your cruise, it will not include the knitting portion.

I am sorry. This my first cruise and I was unaware of that aspect. But Laurie filled me in.

    So you need to email

    To sign up properly

I hope this works for you.
